Travelling on Foot

The Dome is within comfortable walking distance of Doncaster city centre and is well signposted along the route.

From Doncaster City Centre / Frenchgate Shopping Centre

• Start at Frenchgate Shopping Centre or Doncaster Interchange.
• Head south toward Cleveland Street and continue onto St Sepulchre Gate.
• Follow the road as it becomes Bawtry Road (A638).
• Continue straight along Bawtry Road, passing local shops and businesses.
• After approximately 0.7 miles (10–15 minutes), you will see The Dome clearly signposted on your right, next to the Lakeside area.
• Enter via the main pedestrian entrance from the car park.

From Doncaster Railway Station

• Exit the station toward Cleveland Street.
• Turn right and follow signs toward Bawtry Road (A638).
• Walk straight along Bawtry Road toward Lakeside.
• The Dome will appear on your right after around 10–12 minutes.

Good to know:

• The route is mostly flat and suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
• Street lighting is good, making the walk suitable during evening events.
• Pedestrian crossings are available along Bawtry Road.
